Teenage dogs

Last summer my life took a drastic turn. You know, I got a puppy, and it changed my life in so many ways, for the better. This blog is going to be about my beloved Swedish elkhound-puppy Charlie, about the many adventures we manage to experience together and of course, I'm going to post a lot of pics, because there is no way you can resist such an adorable puppy.

Charlie is one and a half years old which is 17,5 years old in dog years. That means that he is in his teenage spirit and we all know what that means... He won´t listen to mommy because she ain´t cool at all, I mean, what would his friends say? He likes to be out with his friends a lot and refuses to listen when mommy calls for him when it gets late, because all the other dogs get to stay out late. His room is a total mess since cleaning isn´t on his schedule whatsoever.

Despite his, I must say annoying, teenage behaviour, I can´t help but falling in love with him every single day. He is like my babybrother that I have to watch and take care of. When I'm in school or he is out hunting with my father, I miss him badly, but I know that at the end of the day I get to see him and hug and cuddle with him until he falls asleep on my stomach (yes, he still does that even though he is the size of a small horse now).

This picture is from Charlies first day at our house. Me and my father took a long car ride to pick him up and I remember him throwing up on my pillow on the way home, good first impression huh...

As you can see, we do everything together. This is just a normal afternoon having a snack. Nothing odd..

Charlie discovering snow for the first time. Obviously, he enjoyed it since his fluffy fur isn´t a big fan of the sun.

We celebrated his first birthday like there was no tomorrow... Joking, he got some presents, got to taste some cake and we played a lot with his new toys.

To be continued........
